The Space & Shared Facilities
All rooms have air conditioning and fans. During your stay, you can also enjoy the swimming pool, outdoor decks, and entertainment areas.
Guests have access to our communal kitchen, water dispenser, small refrigerator, and cooking appliances. You can prepare your own meals or simply make a cup of coffee or tea whenever you like.
As we are located on a remote island, power cuts can sometimes occur and may last for several hours. For guests’ convenience, we provide backup power and satellite internet, making it easier to stay connected and work online when needed.
If you’re tired after surfing, we can also arrange a relaxing traditional massage for you.
Guest Access
Some areas of the property are shared with other guests and the owners. Guests may use the shared facilities, including the swimming pool, outdoor decks, entertainment areas, and communal kitchen, while enjoying the privacy of their own Surf Cabin.
Payment Terms & Conditions
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking dates.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining 50% must be paid upon arrival or no later than one week before arrival.
- Payment Method: Wise or international bank transfer is preferred. Payments in Indonesian Rupiah may be accepted, subject to confirmation.
- Banknotes: Damaged or unsuitable foreign banknotes may be refused.
- Cancellation: The deposit is non-refundable.
- Booking Transfers: Transfers to another guest are subject to approval.
- Date Changes: Changes to booking dates are subject to availability.
- Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is mandatory. We recommend coverage for trip cancellation, non-refundable deposits, cancellation fees, baggage loss, and medical expenses.

Special discounted rates may be available for accommodation only, without meals. We are happy to help you find grocery supplies, and our staff can assist with cooking and cleaning arrangements. You may also choose not to include vehicle usage or request a combination of these options.

Flying with Surfboards
Surfboard luggage cannot be booked through Wings Air in the usual way, and surfboards must be paid for separately at the airport. Purchased baggage allowance does not automatically include surfboards. The approximate cost of flying with a surfboard is IDR 1,000,000 per board. Please confirm the latest requirements and charges directly with your airline before travelling.
For a more affordable alternative, we can help arrange ferry shipment through our ground crew in Medan. Surfboards usually arrive at the property the day after you arrive, but this timing is not guaranteed.
We also have ground crew at Medan Airport who can provide meet-and-greet assistance, help with check-in, and assist with arranging your surfboard shipment by plane or ferry for an additional charge. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use this service.
Alcohol Policy
Duty-free alcohol is permitted, with a maximum allowance of 2.25 litres per person, provided it is kept in properly sealed duty-free bags. Alcohol may only be consumed within our property on the island. Please confirm the latest applicable customs regulations before travelling.
Local Customs & Dress Code
Simeulue is part of Aceh Province, where local customs and Sharia law are observed. We kindly ask all guests to respect local traditions and dress appropriately when outside the property.
- Women: Loose-fitting clothing that covers the chest area is recommended when outside the property.
- Men: Please wear at least a singlet or shirt when outside the property as a sign of respect.
- Surfing & Swimming: A shirt or singlet with shorts is acceptable and recommended. Bikinis are not acceptable in public swimming or surfing areas.
- Private Property & Island Hopping: Bikinis may be worn within our property or when visiting uninhabited islands where no local villagers are present.
- Public Displays of Affection: Couples should limit public affection to holding hands. Kissing and cuddling in public should be avoided.
