Australian tourist who acted out in Simeulue Aceh to be deported
Island Time Beach House | Simeulue Surf Camp. | An Australian tourist named Risbi Jones Bodhi Mani who caused trouble in Simeulue District, Aceh, will soon be deported from Indonesia.
The 23-year-old Australian tourist was handed over by the Simeulue State Attorney’s Office to the Meulaboh Class II Immigration Office, West Aceh Regency, Wednesday.
“We received the handover of this foreigner from the Simeulue District Attorney’s Office, he was handed over to immigration because he would be deported to his home country,” Head of the Meulaboh Immigration Office, West Aceh Regency, Fauzi told reporters on Wednesday.
He said Risbi Jones Bodhi Mani would be deported to Australia after the foreign national obtained a flight ticket from the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
While waiting for the delivery of flight tickets, Fauzi said, the foreigner will temporarily be placed in the detention room of the Meulaboh Immigration Office, West Aceh Regency.
“We have made an official report, for the time being we will place him in the immigration detention room,” he added.
Fauzi said the foreigner will remain in Meulaboh, West Aceh until Wednesday night, and if there is a flight ticket, the foreigner will be departed to his home country.
He explained that Risbi Jones Bodhi Mani would most likely be flown to Jakarta via Blang Bintang International Airport, Aceh Besar Regency.
Previously, the District Attorney’s Office (Kejari) of Simeulue, Aceh, released a foreign tourist from Australia, Risbi Jones Bodhi Mani (23 years old) who was a suspect in the beating of a Simeulue Islands resident.
Simeulue State Attorney Yuriswandi in Simeulue on Tuesday (6/6) said the suspect was released after the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes of the Attorney General’s Office approved the request for restorative justice.
“Risby was released after the restorative justice application submitted received approval from the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes. Restorative justice was carried out because the two parties had reconciled,” said Yuriswandi.
Previously, Risbi Jones Bodhi Mani (23), an Australian citizen, was involved in the persecution of Edi Ron (38), a resident of Lantik Village, West Teupah District, Simeulue Regency.
According to Yuriswandi, after the release the suspect was declared free from all legal charges with the issuance of a decision letter to stop all charges.
